The Dog Lover
Based on a true story, “The Dog Lover” tells the story of Sara Gold, a rising star at the United Animal Protection Agency (UAPA) who goes undercover for an animal advocacy group to collect evidence against a breeder the group believes is neglecting their dogs. While working as an assistant at the kennel, she discovers there’s more to the operation than she bargained for. “The Dog Lover” takes a hard inside look at the agenda of animal rights groups and will leave you questioning the tactics used to achieve their goals. This drama is due to release July 8.

This animated comedy was released June 28.

The Boss
In “The Boss,” wealthy business tycoon Michelle Darnell (Melissa McCarthy) always gets her way until she’s busted for insider trading and sent to federal prison. After serving time, Darnell finds herself homeless, broke and despised. Luckily, she locates her former assistant, Claire, the only person who’s willing to help her rebrand herself. While staying with Claire and her daughter, the ex-con invents a new business plan for a brownie empire. Unfortunately, some old enemies stand in the way of her return to the top. This comedy is due to release July 26.
