 We could speak at length about what makes Unity Fitness the best gym in the area, but rather than hear it from us, we thought you should hear what our Fitfam members have to say! Here’s some information from Sara W.

 

What made you choose Unity to meet your fitness goals?

 

I get the trainers’ undivided attention while working out. They encourage me to be cognizant of my technique and to stay focused on the correct form … and “just one more” rep!

 

What is your favorite thing(s) about working out at Unity? Has your experience been different than what you’ve encountered at other facilities?

 

My most favorite thing is the camaraderie! I love our FitFam. We motivate each other and share enthusiasm for excellent workouts. No one judges you at Unity (you know, like that “look” you may notice at other gyms). We are of all shapes and sizes and of different workout levels. It is awesome when we know others are hitting their goals. For the past three years I have been part of the Transformation Challenge with approximately 20 others at times; these types of activities bring us together.

 

What motivates you to stay so consistent with your workouts?

 

The workouts make me feel good and prepared for my workday. And I enjoy seeing my FitFam members and trainers. Truly, I very much utilize the techniques I’ve learned at Unity in my professional work life as a landscaper. Every lift, rotation or push/pull I do, I always think, “Tighten my core, set the shoulders, snap the hips!”

 

What does your regular routine at Unity look like?

 

Usually two days a week, May through September/October. Then three days a week, October through April, with one or two cardio classes a week. At semi-private workouts, I usually spend about 20 minutes warming up and then kicking butt the rest of the time. 

 

What aspect of your current fitness lifestyle are you most proud of? 

 

That I have cut out most alcohol, I eat clean meals, I drink at least a gallon of water a day, and I use proper form on the job. AND I FEEL SO MUCH BETTER!

 

What benefits have you seen translate from your training to your life outside of the gym?

 

That I am much more efficient on the job site and I have way more energy. I am always thinking about breathing, lifting and staying focused. 

 

When you aren’t working out at Unity, what do you do?

 

 I am working most of the time at/for my landscaping business, Eco Gardens by Washburn. I do sustainable landscape/garden design and installations. I conduct spring/fall clean-ups; install plants, edging, small retaining walls and patios; and quite a bit more! I also help with bookwork at Tee’s Auto in Stoddard, Wisconsin. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and pets!

 

Any other thoughts you would leave for people considering taking the next step in their fitness journey?
