Fox 25/48 launched Loving Living Local to showcase our community and our love of community. From Prairie du Chien to the Chippewa Valley and encompassing three states, we deeply value our “locality.”  During the holiday season, this is truer than ever, there’s no place we’d rather be!

One of our favorite local events during the holidays is Rotary Lights. Hosted by the area Rotary organizations and funded by donations, the Rotary Lights display is an incredible destination for our citizens and for visitors to the Coulee Region.

Since 1995, this remarkable display has been delighting crowds and dazzling photographers. It includes over 4 million lights and is made possible by thousands of hearty volunteers. It’s simply a best-in-class showcase for our area!

The nonprofit Rotary Lights organization also helps feed the hungry. Always free to the public, Rotary Lights uses this fantastic display to ask visitors to make donations of cash or nonperishable food items. The monetary and food gifts people offer when driving or walking through the park help dozens of organizations that are dedicated to fighting hunger.

Over the past 23 years, close to 4 million food items have been collected and given to 14 different organizations that manage the distribution to families in need. The generous gifts of food can help provision our region for 8-10 weeks.

We would ask that you consider what you can donate when you visit Rotary Lights. Nonperishable, high-protein food items like peanut butter have a long shelf life and provide excellent nutrition. In addition to food, they also seek personal hygiene items. Imagine your family in need … what would you like to have? Please give accordingly and generously, knowing it’s going to families in need and helping them enjoy the season as well.

Loving Living Local is something we hold in our heart here at Fox 25/48, and this holiday season we wish everyone a safe and joyous season. Please visit our website www.wiproud.com for more information about Rotary Lights and view our special Loving Living Local holiday video. Happy Holidays!
